The Pedestrian, Bicycle, and Traffic Safety Advisory Committee (PBTSAC) is a group of citizens, elected officials, and government representatives focused on pedestrian and bicycle safety issues in Montgomery County. The committee normally meets every other month on the first Thursday of the month at 7:00pm. These are open meetings; anyone interested in these issues is encouraged to attend.

The Division of Transportation Engineering has announced the promotion of Ms. Patricia Shepherd, to the position of Capital Project Manager for the Division's Bikeway Program.
Before coming to the County, Ms. Shepherd spent six years with the City of Rockville as an Urban Design Planner. She joined the County in 1989 as a Project Manager with the Department of Housing and Community Development. She spent 18 years with DHCA before accepting a position as a Senior Program Specialist with the Division of Transportation Engineering, where she has worked for the past five and a half years. For the past year she has been filling in as the Bikeway Program Manager since that position became vacant.
